Life is fuller when phones help us to do more of what matters, instead of distracting us with things that don't.

Our smartphones are both our most powerful tools and our biggest distractions. They enable us to connect with people worldwide but can hinder our connections with those right next to us. They can boost our productivity, yet they often divert us from meaningful work.
We realised that, more often than not, the distracting features prevail. Whether we're at the library, in the office, or having dinner with family, these devices constantly pull us away from what matters most.
While the simplest solution seemed to be leaving our phones behind or switching to a basic flip phone, we quickly realised how important smartphones have become. We use them to call taxis, capture our days with photos and notes, get directions to different places, and do countless other things that enhance our daily lives. Giving up our smartphones would mean sacrificing these conveniences we often take for granted.

Confronted with this challenge, we decided to create our own solution: Padlock. With Padlock, you can select the tools you want to keep and then activate your Padlock to temporarily disable the rest. Since it's a physical device, there's no temptation to indulge in distractions until you return to Padlock—whether that's across the room or across the city.
With Padlock we can listen to podcasts on long walks, send money to friends when dining out, and jot down notes while working at a coffee shop—all without distracting Twitter notifications or the urge to scroll through Instagram.
We hope you find it beneficial, too.
